5 Fun Spring Break Ideas

Here are some fun (photo-related) spring break ideas!

1) If you're going anywhere then take your camera.
Choose the right kind of camera depending on where you're going. For example: we are probably going to a college campus to check it out for my sister. I wouldn't bring my big camera because, yes it is a beautiful campus and I want to get photos, but I don't want to carry around the big case and everything. I'll probably just bring my small camera that still takes great photos! I also might be going to the beach so for that I would bring my Nikon.

2) Try a new style.
No, I don't mean clothes! I mean a new style of photography! If you usually take pictures of people, try taking pictures of nature! Trust me it's gorgeous! Also, you don't want to take pictures of strictly one thing, you want to broaden your picture possibilities! That way, when you see something photogenic, you can take a really good picture of it and not just take one just to delete it because you don't like it!

3) Go on a road trip.
I don't mean one of those Hollywood road trips I just mean like, if you're going to see family then take your camera! I'm going to see some family later tonight actually for an Easter dinner. It's at my grandparent's house and to get there we take the scenic route so we pass a lot of farms and fields and old barns and it is just beautiful! I will definitely be taking my camera so that I can take pictures!

4) Try indoor photos.
This is something I've actually been wanting to try myself! I don't really have good backdrops though so I usually tend not to but really all you need is an old sheet and a way to hang it up! If you have an open window behind the camera when you take pictures the it lets in a lot of natural light to your photo and it looks great!

5) Edit!
If you're not one too edit your photos then try it! It's so much fun! One really good (FREE) cite I use is picmonkey.com! It's amazing and super easy! I like to add filters to my photos and give it that sepia look! Sometimes I put quotes on them like this:

Sunrise Photoshoot

Who in their right mind wakes up on a Saturday at 6:30. A photographer that's who! Last week, on Saturday my sister woke me up at 6:30 and we rushed to drive to this certain spot in out town where the view is amazing! It'd been a dream of mine to be able to take those pictures! She drove me up there and apparently three other photographers had the exact same idea! Yes, it was 29 degrees outside, and yes, my nose was running like an icicle melting in the desert; but, I had a great time and took some great photos! Here's a few of the photos! I hope you enjoy!
